JOB TITLE: Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: Oversee kennel operations which includes; organizing and supervision of staff duties, ensuring the building is immaculately maintained and our guests needs are being met.  I answer the phones, maintain the front desk, book reservations and every other aspect of office duties.  I also handle any medical concerns that may arise.

STAFF MEMBER OF ORION KENNEL CLUB SINCE:  June 1993 (this was and still is my first job…I became employed at Orion Kennel Club, Inc. when I was 15 years old)

SPECIAL TRAINING AND SKILLS:  I am certified in Pet First Aid and working towards certification in ABKA (American Boarding Kennel Association).  I attended, completed and received a certificate for a weekend canine massage course.  I am proficient with a computer and I possess excellent people skills.  I am also very organized and am adept at delegating tasks to our staff.

PERSONAL PETS:  I am currently owned by my best girl Kahlua (Rottweiler),I also have a German Shepard Millie and my recent addition is Forrest (Russian Spaniel)  In the past I have had a Daschund (Hans), a Lab (Tyson) who I dearly miss, tropical fish, mice, snakes, ducks and two parakeets (though not all at the same time!)  Tyson has been involved in the “Pet-a-Pet” program, and was also a blood donor for other dogs in need.

HOBBIES:  I love to travel, scuba dive and spend time with my family and friends.

PERSONAL GOALS:  I would like to become certified in Pet Massage.  I’d also like to go back to college.  Ultimately, I would like to get married and have children.
