There is a noticeable trend going on with our society... multi-pet households. Like children, these pets can also be classified as "dependents" in our lives. Like children, there are many expenses associated with raising our pets. One in particular is health care. Did you know that pet insurance is becoming more and more popular and that there is a menu of options available, great options in fact for multi-pet owners. Routine care and kennel issues are usually covered by the basic plan. You may be delightfully surprised at how willing the companies are to help you help your pet (s) stay healthy!
We have started some homework into this topic and we want to pass along the questions we had asked such companies; 1. Who is the underwriter of the policy (so we can determine how well funded they are for losses) 2. What is the co-pay (if any) 3. Are their age limitations on their policies 4. Are titer tests covered 5. How long have they offered pet insurance 6. Do you have your veterinarian of choice 7. How quick is reimbursement 8. How many clients do they have signed on their plans offered 9. Are there limitations with multiple incidents per year?
The above and many more questions were asked. We are still learning about such benefits and we are just giving you a start into this topic that is becoming more and more popular. Among the many phone calls we were very impressed with WWW.PETFIRST.COM , so we thought we would pass this on! Please take our words and strictly use them as a tool to aide in your personal homework. Call your veterinarian and see what insurance company they recommend and ask some of the questions we have to see if you like their responses, we hope you can find something beneficial for your pets needs!
